SEL is not a single program or teaching method. It involves coordinated strategies across classroom, schools, homes, communities and districts.’ (Casel, 2018)
The Collaborative for Academic Social and Emotional Learning (CASEL) has identified five interrelated sets of cognitive, affective and behavioural competencies: self-awareness, self -management, social awareness, relationship skills, responsible decision making.
